Yes, you maintain full ownership of your music when using Music ChaCha’s distribution service. You have control over your master rights and can monitor your music’s performance.

Data and Revenue Cycle

Music ChaCha provides a transparent and user-friendly Report for artists to monitor the performance of their distributed music. Detailed reports on plays, earnings, and trends are readily available.

  • Song released in Jan, Feb, Mar will get data in June
  • Song released in Apr, May, June will get data in Sep
  • Song released in July, Aug, Sep will get data in Dec
  • Song released in Oct,Nov, Dec will get data in March

We are working towards faster update of data, revenue and analytics. Your feedback is appreciated

  • Please name the audio track with the name of your song
  • Only WAV or MP3 file is accepted
  • The length of the track should not be less than 1 min 2 secs

WARNING : Name of the audio track should be the name of the song, nothing else should be written in the name else the file will be rejected and the release will be delayed

Please follow the artwork/poster guidelines below for a fast and smooth release
1. Artwork/poster cannot have White lines or Black band on the sides or above and below
2. Artwork/poster cannot have streaming app logos, coming soon, date, time, email id , website or contact number
3. Artwork/poster cannot have only the composer name or lyrics or singer. Artwork/poster should have all the credits like composer, singer and lyrics or nothing.
4. Accepted size is 3000×3000 pixels in jpeg or jpg format
5. Artwork/poster without the song name will be rejected
6. Artwork with similar designs on multiple songs will get rejected by apple music
7. credits of the song should match with the credits on the artwork/poster
8. Artwork/poster with just the song name is also acceptable
9. Artwork/poster can have studio logo, artist logo.
10. Artwork/poster with pixilated or low quality image or stretched image will be rejected.

1. I have complete rights to upload the files for distribution.
2. The files are original work and not a cover song or modification of the original work (slowed, stretched etc).
3. I am liable for no payments or takedown of my song if the tune or the lyrics or any part of my song is claimed to be someone else’s original work, Music Chacha is not liable for any refunds in such case.

We recommend that you schedule your release date 7 days in advance. At the earliest, it takes up to 48 hours for us to distribute your music to the respective streaming platforms.

The official turnaround-time (TAT) is at-least 48 hours with all DSPs, though in non-peak times the content does get ingested faster. In case upload doesn’t happen till TAT period, please do outline to Music ChaCha customer care team and we will escalate with the required DSP.
Song availability from the date of approval by Music Chacha:
Spotify- 3 to 5 days
Wynk- 24 hours to 3 days
Gaana- 24 hours to 3 days
JioSaavn- 24 hours to 3 days
All other platforms- 48 hours to 3 days

No timeline can be committed as process timing is more than 10 days 

Friday is usually seen to be the ideal day for music releases. In order to boost their weekly sales, the majority of record labels release their music on Fridays. But it’s okay any day of the week. The only advice given is to avoid releasing on holidays such as Independence Day, Republic Day, and festivals.

Royalties are distributed quarterly. 

  • Song released/streaming data of Jan, Feb, Mar will get report in June
  • Song released/streaming data of Apr, May, June will get report in Sep
  • Song released/streaming data of July, Aug, Sep will get report in Dec
  • Song released/streaming data of Oct,Nov, Dec will get report in March
